[ARCHIVED] LIVE in the DTL Juneteenth Celebration: Chapel Hart, Cam Christian & DJ XL

Celebrate freedom at Lawrenceville’s Juneteenth Concert on Friday, June 14. Juneteenth is an important holiday commemorating the abolition of slavery in the United States. This inclusive event celebrates Lawrenceville’s diversity through a variety of expressions of Black culture. Enjoy the flavor of original live music, art, and food while supporting local creators!  

Join us for another great musical lineup featuring a DJ set by DJ XL (@xavierlewistheantidotetornb), and live performances by Cam Christian and the Palmettos (@camchristianmp3) ft special guests, and the fabulous country female trio, Chapel Hart (@chapelhartband) who has independently released three studio albums and eleven singles in addition to being featured on America's Got Talent.

And, jam for jammies with us in partnership with Because One Matters. Bring new pajamas of any size to the concert and help provide comfort to foster kids and underprivileged youth. Your generosity can make a cozy night for a child in need!

Chapel Hart

In 2021 Chapel Hart was inducted into CMT’s Next Women of Country, the institution that has been known to help up-and-coming female country artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBride, & Gabby Barrett... to name a few. This Mississippi trio’s music has reached fans around the globe earning them the title of “International Group of the Year” as well as “International Song of the Year” for the single “You Can Have Him Jolene” in Scotland. They were also nominated in multiple categories by the British CMAs including “Group of the Year” and “Album of the Year” for their sophomore release “The Girls Are Back In Town”.

The trio has a natural ability to make people join together in song and dance and in their live performances. They often note music's incredible power to unite people of all nationalities, religions, and walks of life. The ladies will often treat the audience to three-part harmony A Capella arrangements that range from energetic and playful to emotional and chilling. Chapel Hart has entertained people from all over the world, and the decision It’s always unanimous, there’s no experience quite like the Chapel Hart experience!

Cam Christian and the Palmettos

Born in San Diego but raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Cam Christian is a songwriter, producer, artist, curator, communitarian, and founder of the nonprofit community organization, PlantLanta. His style is influenced by the OLD Kanye, Darius Rucker, and FatBoy Slim. Cam has performed alongside T-Pain, Chance the Rapper, Third Eye Blind, Aluna George, The Chainsmokers, Flo Rida, and many more. He recently released his debut album "PALMETTO", telling the story about his journey back to his hometown in South Carolina. "No matter who we are, there's always a part of home that sticks with us forever." He makes music for people like him. Introverts. Thinkers. Dreamers. Songs that have written themselves by his own experiences.

Xavier Lewis kicks off the celebrations with a live DJ set at 5 pm!
