The City of Lawrenceville Gears Up for Its Biggest Event Season Yet
From The Lawrenceville Boogie's block party beats to DTL CON-Quest’s two-day convention takeover, the City of Lawrenceville is bringing its most ambitious event season yet to Downtown Lawrenceville, and the full lineup is just as packed as it sounds. The spring and summer lineup features more than a dozen free events, including live concerts, outdoor movie nights, weekly DJ activations, and the annual Prelude to the Fourth fireworks celebration, all centered in the heart of The DTL. The full six-month event calendar is available at Downtown Lawrenceville website.
“Our Spring and Summer season highlights what makes Downtown Lawrenceville such a special place,” said Mayor David Still. “These events bring neighbors together to celebrate, connect, and experience everything that makes Downtown Lawrenceville vibrant.”
The season opens March 20 with WellFest: Positive Vibes, Positive Minds at the Lawrenceville Lawn. Created and hosted by the Lawrenceville Legacy Leaders, the event focuses on mental wellness, connection, and building a welcoming space where student voices are centered. Developed entirely by teens, the event highlights the leadership and creativity of Lawrenceville’s youth.
April 11 brings The Lawrenceville Boogie back to the Downtown Square, a multi-stage festival blending music, art, and car culture. Expect funky, multi-genre performances, local vendors, and a classic and custom car show, with proceeds from the car show and vendors benefiting Beyond the Ribbon, an organization supporting local families affected by cancer.
Beginning April 30, Beats on the Streets kicks off 12 Thursdays of live DJ sets across the Downtown Square, a weekly reason to shop local, dine out, and soak up the rhythm of the DTL all season long.
May 1 and 2 marks the return of DTL CON-Quest, an award-winning, free two-day celebration of comics, cosplay, games, and pop culture fandom. Formerly known as Free Comic Book Day, the event has evolved into a full-scale convention in honor of a 10-year partnership with Galactic Quest. Panels, workshops, cosplay competitions, interactive experiences, and the DTL Comic Quest transform Downtown Lawrenceville into an immersive adventure for fans of all ages.
Music takes center stage with the LIVE in the DTL Concert Series, bringing powerhouse tribute bands and emerging artists to the Lawrenceville Lawn throughout the season. Families can also settle in for outdoor movie nights through the Lawrenceville Movie Club, perfect for family-friendly picnics.
The season culminates July 1 with Prelude to the Fourth at the Lawrenceville Lawn with live music, food trucks, family activities, and a fireworks finale that has become one of Lawrenceville’s most beloved summer traditions.
"Our team continues to raise the bar each year," said Jasmine Jackson, Community & Economic Development Director. "From evolving long-standing traditions to launching immersive new experiences, we are committed to producing events that are innovative, inclusive, and reflective of our growing community."
