• Attendance may be limited at events, where appropriate. What does this mean? It means a maximum attendance capacity has been determined for some events/venues. Attendees are counted upon event entry. Once capacity is reached, the event will be closed. Live updates on event status will be posted on City social media. Should a particular event have an attendance limit, it will be publicized as part of the event description.
• Some events may require registration.
• The attendance procedure for events will be announced to the public through social media and www.downtownlawrencevillega.com.
• Each event layout is designed for recommended social distancing.
• On-site vendors are encouraged to wear masks and gloves in addition to keeping their work areas clean.
• Staff and volunteers are encouraged to maintain a six-foot distance from guests.
• Staff and volunteers who have been fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask.

• Frequent enhanced cleanings of highly targeted areas
• Easy to access handwashing facilities and hand sanitizing stations
• Sanitation procedures for outdoor restroom areas provided by the City

City events that require registration include a guest registration link and the date registration opens. This information is available on the event page (on this site) and on City of Lawrenceville social media.

The Atlanta Christkindl Market is partnering with the City of Lawrenceville to bring the market to Downtown Lawrenceville.

Lawrenceville Lawn parking lot (Green Lot) will be the only location for the Atlanta Christkindl Market for the 2025 holiday season.

The Lawrenceville Lawn main parking lot (Green Lot) and backstage lot (Silver Lot) will be closed November 2 through January 5 for load-in, setup, and breakdown. 

November 28 through December 24, 2025.

• Wednesdays and Thursdays: 3 PM – 8 PM (excluding Thanksgiving – November 27)
• Fridays and Saturdays: 11 AM – 9 PM
• Sundays: 11 AM – 8 PM
• Specialty Hours will apply on Christmas Eve.

We encourage all visitors to park at the Gwinnett Justice Administration Center, City Hall (Gold Lot), or the overflow parking lot (Navy Lot) across from City Hall.

The market will be closed on Thanksgiving Day as the Gwinnett County Historic Courthouse hosts its Lighting of the Great Tree celebration that evening, beginning at 5 PM. We invite everyone to kick off the season on the Square and return to enjoy the Christkindl Market throughout the holiday season.

Yes, shuttle buses will run during the first weekend (November 28–30) and the last weekend (December 20–22), operating one hour before opening through one hour after closing.  

We’ll provide directional signs, message boards, sandwich boards, and digital kiosks throughout downtown to guide visitors. We are also collaborating with Christkindl on their marketing to ensure a cohesive message. 

Yes! The market is pet-friendly, and Santa pictures with pets will be available on select days and times (listed on the market’s website).

Yes, we plan to have a strong downtown business presence at the market. Businesses will have the opportunity to sign up for booth spaces, and we’ll feature signage and promotions encouraging visitors to Dine and Shop in Downtown Lawrenceville (DTL) throughout the season.

The Market will offer the official ceramic Christkindl Market mug, and the event alcohol permit also allows other approved non-glass containers within the Market footprint. Glass is not permitted anywhere in the Market or the Downtown Entertainment District.

Yes. You may move freely within the Market footprint with your ceramic mug or another approved non-glass container.

Yes, but you must transfer it into an approved Downtown Entertainment District cup before exiting. Drinks carried out must be in a plastic or shatterproof cup, no larger than 16 ounces, and only one drink per person is allowed. Open-container carry in the District is allowed daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Approved cups are non-glass, disposable or reusable cups (typically plastic) that meet the City’s open-container requirements. Only drinks in these cups may be taken outside the Market footprint.

No. All alcohol must be purchased from the Market’s licensed vendor or a downtown restaurant.

Downtown Lawrenceville is full of holiday cheer. Along with the Christkindl Market, the City of Lawrenceville hosts seasonal favorites, including the Holiday Happenings Pop-Up Series and family activities on the Lawrenceville Lawn. Visitors can also enjoy Gwinnett County’s Lighting of the Great Tree on Thanksgiving night, Aurora Theatre’s Christmas Canteen, Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker, the Festival of Trees at the Lawrenceville Arts Center, and Sleigh on Perry, the holiday pop-up at Local Republic.
