ReCAST Community Connections Workshop: Faith Leaders

The City of Lawrenceville will offer 6 workshops to residents as part of the ReCAST grant. Workshops will be provided to youth, faith-based organizations, and non-profit/business community to increase cultural competency and strategies to overcome implicit bias.
As part of the Resiliency in Communities After Stress & Trauma (ReCAST) grant, the City of Lawrenceville will offer six (6) workshops to local residents. The workshops will be offered to three groups – youth, faith, and the nonprofit/business community. Our goal is to help increase the cultural competency of local residents and leaders and introducing them to the concept of implicit bias as well as offering strategies to overcome it. All workshops are scheduled from 6:15—8:15 @ Laundry Events (235 N Perry St).

Non-profit & Business Leaders Cohort
Tuesday – Oct 10 & 17
The workshops, led by Westbridge Solutions, will be engaging and transformational. They will include opportunities to
- Learn about implicit bias
- Discover how to make inclusive choices
- Build a welcoming culture
- Engaging in courageous conversations, and more.
Westbridge has also designed a curriculum that will be fun, inclusive of community building activities.
These workshops will address the needs surfaced as part of our disparities impact statement and provide the opportunity to increase the cultural competency of our city.
